Beyond Human Efforts

Yutang Lin

An eye for an eye, when will the recycle end?
Blood debt, blood payback; wouldn't balance.
Seeing clearly that it is beyond human efforts,
One turns to Buddha for help through prayers.

Comments:

In the world there are all sorts of fighting and wars; recycling of revenges could not be stopped. Human endeavors are rather limited. Even though with all best intentions we hope to realize peace on earth, unfortunately it remains a matter to be dreamed of. Fortunately, through Dharma practices we have experienced the blessing of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Therefore, we know that we can rely on their help. Consequently, I pray constantly to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for world peace and the ultimate liberation of all sentient beings.
