Hurting One Another

Yutang Lin

Precious and fleeting time not spent on Dharma practices,
But wasted away in gossiping to add more puzzle pieces.
Knitting prejudices together to cover one another's eyes,
Hurting one another's wisdom lives could not exceed this!

Comment:

Some Buddhists gathered, instead of conducting Dharma practices together, to gossip. They had not awakened to the truth of Impermanence, and the nets of worldly views thus knitted became thicker and darker. Their intentions toward enlightenment lost clarity and purity, and their worldly entanglements became more pronounced. To mutually hurt one another's wisdom lives is so ignorant and pitiful!
