As You Like It

Yutang Lin

It is all right not to be respected or taken seriously;
Abide by being equal; let others play out their way.
Only old hands could recognize depths and shades;
Seeing people through eyes is close to being blind.

Comments:

All things are equal; deeds are of various depths. Grasping to form would render it difficult to distinguish; only when the mind is pure could it be recognized. Not falling under the duality of high and low let people be happy with their approaches. In tranquility and harmony with pure truthfulness, universally help beings out of compassion and mercy.
