Systematic Antidote

Yutang Lin

The ecology of self-centeredness is a massive mess,
Fixing bits and pieces, here and there, leads nowhere.
Theories and practices of Dharma form one system complete
To overhaul lives thoroughly and yield purity afresh.

Comment:

The life style of self-centered ways is a whole system in itself. Buddhist teachings, including philosophies and practices, constitute a systematic antidote to self-centered ways of life. Only comprehensive and systematic adoption of the Buddhist way could hope to yield success in the end.
