Share Leisure

Yutang Lin

Confined within set patterns, it becomes stern;
Breaking through prejudices, temperaments seen.
Manners of sentient beings are various by nature;
Drop demands to share living in peace and leisure.

Comments:

Each one of us is confined by prejudices, and has certain predisposition. Insisting on one's own views and ways could not help but become stern demands on others. If one could break through one's own prejudices, then one would be able to have the openness and objectivity to appreciate others?temperaments. This could lead to the understanding that each has his own natural inclination which could hardly be forced to change. With such a realization, the demanding attitude would vanish; consequently, one and others could live in separate ways and share peace and leisure together.
