Do Abide in Sincerity

Yutang Lin

Don't think that excuses will not be seen through;
Tiny violation of sincerity means wounding oneself.
In practicing the Dharma this is the key point to behold;
Rather disregard all the rest to safeguard the mind pure.

Comments:

To safeguard sincerity one should avoid making excuses or acting perfunctorily. How could perfunctory activities go undetected? Not to mention the leak of ones sincerity, could it be easily repaired back to wholeness?
