      學佛警無常,自心迷眼前,沒人管得著;
學佛宜出離,自身老稽延,沒人管得著;
學佛當精進,功課常疏懶,沒人管得著;
學佛發大心,做人愛計較,沒人管得著;
學佛觀法界,自限不悟越,沒人管得著;

      Following Buddha's path
One should remain constantly aware of impermanence
When one's mind is indulging in current affairs
No others can do a thing about it
      Following Buddha's path
        It is proper to renounce worldly engagements for Dharma
        And yet one is always procrastinating
        No others can do a thing about it
      Following Buddha's path
        One should practice Dharma diligently
        And yet daily sessions for practices are often ignored or cut short
        No others can do a thing about it
      Following Buddha's path
        One should develop the Great Bodhicitta
        And yet one likes to compare with and criticize others
        No others can do a thing about it
      Following Buddha's path
        One should envision the whole Dharmadhatu
        And yet one fails to transcend self-set limitations
        No others can do a thing about it
      Suddenly one is getting old
        And no way to escape from sufferings
        This life is easily passed in trifles
        What lies ahead is completely unknown
        Busy all the time just to stay warm and full in belly
        The mind field had long since been desolate
        Facing life and death cannot be represented
        The choices fall squarely on each one's shoulders

      Comments:
      Those who genuinely stepped onto the path of Dharma practices are only rare. Taking the first steps and being persevere in continuing on the path, it all depends on one's own mind. Dharma practitioners who has genuine Bodhicitta should constantly encourage themselves to remain diligent.
